The curtain has lifted and the show is back on. After a long break and a few weeks of testing the adrenaline started to flow this weekend at Autódromo Internacional Algarve in Portugal.

Perfect weather conditions on Friday ensured that both Scott Odgen and Josh Whatley felt strong and confident on the bikes. They both enjoyed practicing because of the time spent testing last week.

On Saturday the qualifying session was electrifying given that Whatley had his best result in dry conditions, in 24th place. Odgen was disappointed in his session as he couldn’t get through and qualified in 20th position. The overcast conditions on Saturday made it more difficult in qualifying but Odgen was very confident about the upcoming race.

As the engines started and throttles opened the Sunday race brought a lot of excitement. The weather conditions were hot and sunny which was perfect. Odgen unfortunately did not finish the race due to a crash on the first lap. After coming off the track Scott said “ I started from 20th and I knew I had to overtake quickly and I should’ve just stayed more calm. Whatley pushed himself throughout the race to achieve the best possible result. After the race flag was out Whatley crossed the line in 21st position.

This upcoming weekend we will be going to the second race of the year in Argentina and we are excited to see what great results we will achieve there.
