MLav Racing is proud to confirm its return to the 2026 Pirelli National Superstock Championship, where the team will compete as Carl Cox BMW by MLav Racing with an exciting new rider line-up of Lewis Rollo and Simon Reid aboard the BMW M 1000 RR.

Following a successful 2025 campaign, the team heads into the new season with renewed ambition and a strong package, aiming to defend its title and perform at the front of the field.

Lewis Rollo returns to the Superstock category after missing the majority of last season due to injury. Having previously shown strong pace and potential within the BSB paddock, he is eager to get back on track and re-establish himself as a consistent front-runner.

Lewis Rollo: I’m really looking forward to this season. Everything came together quite late, but we got things up and running quickly and the team has worked incredibly hard to get us out testing, which I really appreciate. I clicked with both the bike and the team straight away, so I’m excited for what’s ahead.

A huge thank you to Michael, the MLav team, and all of my personal sponsors – with a special mention to Motorrad Central Edinburgh for coming on board as my title sponsor. They’ve supported me and my family for many years, so it’s fantastic to have them involved.

After last year, it feels great to be back fit and on the bike again. Hopefully we can have a strong season and put ourselves in a good position to fight for the title.

On the other side of the garage, Simon Reid joins the team returning to UK competition after a successful period racing in the Middle East. Reid has previously established himself as a regular podium contender in the Quattro Group British Supersport Championship and now steps into the team with confidence and strong backing.

Simon Reid: I’m super excited to be joining Carl Cox BMW by MLav Racing this year. It’s something I’ve been working towards for a while, so it’s great to finally make it happen. My time in the Middle East with Alpha Racing has been really positive, and I’m proud to bring that relationship into the team.

I believe we’ve got a really strong package and a great group of people around us. Testing has gone well, including a really positive outing at Donington Park after our time in Spain. I love the bike – it’s an incredible machine to ride – and I can’t wait to get the season started and be back racing in the UK.

Michael Laverty  (Team Principal): It’s fantastic to align with new partners in Carl Cox Motorsport, BMW Motorrad Edinburgh and Alpha Racing as we build on our championship-winning programme in the Superstock class. The BMW M 1000 RR is a proven package, and with the technical support from Alpha Racing, we believe we are even stronger heading into this season.

Both Lewis and Simon are riders of real quality. They have the ability, the experience, and the hunger to succeed, which makes them a perfect fit for the team.

Nathan Smith (Team Manager): It’s great for us as a team to have two experienced riders who are capable of winning races. The Superstock project came together quite late, but thanks to the effort of everyone involved, including our sponsors and partners, we’re in a strong position heading into the season.

Both Lewis and Simon had challenging circumstances last year, but we’re confident we can give them the tools and the environment to perform at their best. There’s a great feeling within the team, and we’re all looking forward to getting started.

The team will be aiming to deliver its maximum performance from the very first round of the season, which will take place at Oulton Park in May.
