Eddie O’Shea to Continue with GRYD MLav Racing for 2026
The British rider will remain with the team for next season, completing the 2026 line-up alongside Australian rider Joel Kelso.

O’Shea made his step up to the World Championship with the team at the end of the 2024 season, after progressing through the team’s FIM JuniorGP structure. The British rider will now embark on his second full season in the Moto3 World Championship.
After a year of adapting to the demands of the Moto3 category, O’Shea and the team have shown significant progress during the closing stages of the current season. Eddie scored his first World Championship point three weeks ago in Indonesia and, for the first time this year, progressed directly into Q2 this weekend in Malaysia, where he will start from 16th position in tomorrow’s race.
By extending their relationship for another year, GRYD MLav Racing reinforces its commitment to supporting and developing British talent, both within the World Championship and across the team’s junior categories.
EDDIE O’SHEA: “I am incredibly grateful to the team for giving me the opportunity to race with them for a second year in the World Championship. We have been taking big steps recently and I’m looking forward to making more memories together.
Since joining MLAV last year they have welcomed me with warm arms and made me feel like family.
I would like to thank Michael Laverty, David Eltherington and everybody else behind the scene.”
THE TEAM: “We are pleased to continue working with Eddie for the 2026 season. Over the past months, we’ve seen him grow in confidence and performance. Supporting British riders on their journey to the top levels of motorcycle racing remains one of our key objectives, and we’re excited to see what the future holds together.”
